Virtual
Tour This Equestrian Facility
Welcome to our barn! We are a family
run barn and take a lot of pride in our work, with all of us
helping out when our schedules allow. Chris and Susan head
up this family of five. Chris has a natural compassion and
love for all animals, but prefers to drive things with
wheels! Susan has been a horseperson since the age of 11
when she was
fortunate to be able to get her first horse. She was very active in 4-H and showing her own Quarter Horses in
Tucson, Arizona. She
successfully showed her horses on the Quarter Horse circuit for
many years before moving to Oregon after graduating from the
University of Arizona with a teaching degree.
Our daughter, Tamra, began
taking riding lessons almost nine years ago.
She has ridden hunt seat, saddle seat, dressage and western.
Connor enjoys working
around the property learning the ins and outs of keeping the place
running smoothly. Christopher is very helpful with
maintenance and repairs and is a terrific assistant with
projects. Both boys prefer to work with their 4-H swine
projects versus the horses, but they manage to give the horses
plenty of attention.
Our
Equine family member is
a
seven-year-old AQHA Buttermilk Dun mare named HV Imperial Silver,
aka Liberty. Liberty is Tamra’s All-Around horse.
We purchased her from Idaho as a yearling and have had a
blast with her over the past six years. We have done extensive Parelli groundwork with her and have
shown her on the ABRA circuit the past four years.
She just finished her third year being shown under saddle. Tamra
will be competing with Liberty on the Canby High School Equestrian
Team.
Thank
you for taking the time to learn a little bit about
us. We
look forward to meeting all of you and getting to know
you and your horses.
We look forward to lots of fun times ahead.
